I need a new computer

Something basic, not looking to spend a lot. I just don't need anything fancy or powerful.

Are you a veteran? The online military exchanges offer some deals that are too hard to pass up. My laptop and the wifes laptop bought on the military exchanges. 1TB memory and I dont' remember how much RAM for less than $400.

I buy lease returns or refurbished, New Egg or TigerDirect. Good prices and never had a bad one.

I've had great luck with my Lenovo, have 2 of them now. Good stuff. Stay away from Windows Surface, in my opinion, although it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for.

Right now I'm using a Lenovo W500 that is just over 10 years old. The Windows 10 update last year didn't work, but I've been running in Safe mode ever since. I've been trying Linux Mint running off a thumb drive, I think I'll install it on the hard drive and leave Windows behind. Then another 10 years on the Lenovo.

I'm on a Lenovo thinkpad now. I love it but I kinda dropped it and broke a hinge. I'll probably stay with Lenovo.
