Ah... so that settles why most people are OU fans... they win! Also explains why even their mascot is a wagon... :):)

I like that! Thanks, Whitey.

Thanks for the kind words, Nemesis. I'm a native Okie and plan to keep it that way.

Hubby and I met in Cantaffordya, moved away and went back a couple of times, then moved away again for good. OK looks to be a decent place to have the childins around and meet some good people.
Sure there's some good people in Cali too, but the politics suck so bad and it sure isn't getting better anytime soon....

I feel bad for Mr G though, he misses the scenery a lot. Loves driving around near Lake Thunderbird.

I moved from kalifornia. I used to love that state. The Sierras. Yosemite. Tahoe. Half Moon Bay. It's all good.

I moved here in '06. I had a hard time getting used to summers. Winters are kind of weird too. (Tulsa)

But I've been communicating with some folks back in the socialist's republic.

Finally, I can say, I'm glad I'm here. Full auto. ARs. Suppressors. Forbidden (off list) handguns.

Thanx for letting me stay. You're a great bunch of folks.

It's great to be back in a free state.

I'm an '89er my self. I moved here from Massachusetts in 1989.

THANK YOU OKLAHOMA; JUST FOR BEING!!!

I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. "Game Days" were an absolute *****. Traffic was miserable. However, the many many sorority girls and Bohemian artsy-fartsy chicks more than made up for the inconvenience.

We are glad you are here, too. One thing I have noticed over the years is Okies are ridiculously proud of their home state. The evidence is anecdotal, of course, but I have been to all of the contiguous 48 states and have never quite seen pride like Okie pride. Texas comes close, but they also have a healthy dose of self-loathing down there.

People seem to move away, but they mostly end up coming back. There is just something about this place. It is good. And I won't ever live anywhere else.
