LIR Trout fishing trip 2-5-11

I am planning on going. I have boot foot waders and I do slip around on the rocks but it is not all that bad. I dont have the best balance on rocks anyway. Meeting below the dam would probably be the best. We could meet at Marval trout camp but you have to sign in at the office and that might be a hassle depending on how many people show up. They would probably want to charge us for using there area.

I am planning on using my fly gear but since I am a newb to fly fishing I will be bringing my spinning gear to.

For those interested there is a Fly Tying show at the Creek County fairgrounds Saturday from 10:00 to 3:00 think.

Don't know if I'll bring my canoe or not. I've found it's very difficult to fish and drive the canoe. . .

I was thinking about bringing mine. Usually just beach the canoe or allow it to drift into a brush pile, and fish from there.

Firetiger pattern seems to be good. I don't spin fish but have seen people catch them on that.

1/10 oz gold or silver spoons work at times, or micro jigs.
