Local/State Engraver?

Hey All!!

Are there any folks who live in the OKC or even in the state of Oklahoma who engrave pistols? Someone I could visit with in person?

Not a trust or LLC name/number but nice engraving.

1/2 to 1/3 engraved or maybe a "C" level engraving.






Or something kind of like this.....just the slide.


Isn't there an engraving "degree" or certification vo-tech that I'm thinking of....I may be thinking of watch making/repair....help.

GRS in Emporia, Kansas can probably help you get in contact with someone. I just spent about $4k with them getting tools for the engraving trade. They offer several classes for different types of engraving with master engravers. It blew my mind how expensive the equipment was plus the time it will take to consider my work "sellable". Anyhow, I bet they have a list of competent engravers.

I have had Bill Lowther in MWC do a few for me. He doesn't do real deep relief but it is attractive and he is reasonably priced.

Hand engraving like that is becoming a lost art. Most of the engraving you see now is CNC or Laser.
