Lost postal money order.

I hope you never have to deal with a lost postal money order.I recently did and what a pain in the ying yang.First you must wait two weeks to file a trace claim at which time YOU have to pay for the trace.Then it takes another two months to get your money back.Guess I will have some Christmas money.

I had one lost dealing with a member here...but it was only like 20 bucks so I ate it and let the transaction go as the item wasn't worth 40 or 50 bucks to me...

Not just money orders, even certified funds are a pain in the butt if something goes awry ... You are right ... the way of the world anymore.

what did the trace cost?

The trace is only 5.40 which is not much cash but is just the fact that they lose it and I have to pay to trace it.And they have a number they can call and find out if it has been cashed which takes about 30 seconds.
