I went with the 30-30. Doesn't everybody's hunting spot around here look like mine?

.270 should be on list. Think asking what you use to see what get used most, is that right? I have over half of that list plus some but .270 does The job for me.

I was thinking about all the youths shooting rifles and hunting or not huntin with them and what they would have.
Every kid I knew had a .22.
As an adult in deer camp it was a mix 8 mausers. 30/30 .308, 30-06 , 7 mag and 7 mauser.
I would say 50% owned a 30-30 but 100% of them owned some kind of .22 rifle.

Gill gun or model 60.

I'm sure you are right about the 22lr but when I was voting and typing my response it was a 10-22 up there. I didn't want to catch heck for voting for that. :bye:
