Man, this is great news! So happy to hear her quality of life has improved. Your own personal health will be better for it.
My dad had a bout with meningitis a few years ago, and he did hard time in a "skilled nursing facility" after he was well enough to get out of the hospital but still needed IV antibiotics. That place was chock full of people who were just sitting around waiting to die. My dad didn't really start getting better until he got the hell out of that craphole.
