Need ID to make change at a bank...but not to vote

I had to get $50 bills today to tip a moving crew. Went into my local BOKF and the teller told me he needed my ID to change $350 in twenties and tens into fifties. Song and dance about how they don't have a cash drawer any more and he can't get the machine to spit out cash without an ID.

I said, "the feds really want to track everyone who has any cash, huh?" and he replied "I don't disagree."

This country gets more and more effed up by the day/hour/minute.

so... this was a fed policy or a bank policy? also, why do you think the feds would care if your $350 is in $1, $2, $5, $10, etc?

I quit banks years ago when Chase tried to screw me over.

I've been with Tinker Credit Union since then, and completely satisfied with the service.

Banks are owned by individuals, or corporations. Credit Unions are owned by the customers.

Just don't try using your CCW card. Midfirst and Tinker Credit Union do not recognize them as a State Issued ID.
