Ok hold on. Lets say you have a kahr p380 in a 'wallet' holster with a cutout for the trigger...that's illegal, but pocket holsters aren't? Is that true?

Pocket holsters are unregulated. Wallet holsters designed to be fired with the gun inside are regulated as AOW's. I remember when I had to pull Galco wallet holsters off the rack when ATF decreed it so back in the late 90's.
