Night owls

I'm often up late now that I retired from my state job, I have some computer work I do buying and selling industrial and other materials. The deals I find are later in the evening depending on west coast time zones or east coast.
I see a few others posting late. Its 3:40 am and I'm about to hit the hay finally.
Just wondered who else is a night owl and why.

I am definitely a night owl. For the last several years I worked an afternoon or evening shift so staying up late and sleeping in has become the norm for me.

Now that I am retired it will be interesting to see if my sleeping habits change over the next few months.

I was up till sun up Tuesday and slept till noon, night before I was falling asleep by 10 pm so I am sporadic it seems. While working I always had to be up by 6 am to get ready and off to the office but when I retired in Dec. I reverted back to a night owl.
I'm curious how it goes for you, There's not many days anymore that I see a sunrise like before.
I dont even care though lol

Thats gotta be rough I'd think.
For 25 years or so I worked 7:30 to 4:30 and then we had a change where I could work 8:30 till 6:00.Best thing about retiring from that shithole was fighting traffic, morning and evening

I work 11pm-7am, so I'm forced to be a night owl. But truth be known, if I had a "regular" job, I'd probably still be up all hours of the night.

go to bed at 7pm....

been like this for decades....

I sleep about 4-5 hours a day, so if I fall asleep at 8pm I'm up 4-5 hours later. If I fall asleep at midnight, same thing. I've been like that since high school.

If I’m just sitting around dinking on the internet, I start dozing off on the couch about 8:30-9 every night, but I don’t go to bed until my wife does which is at least 10:30.

Similar to RM. I work 7-4 so up around 0630 and walk to the office. I'll be dozing off on the recliner around 9 and get to an actual bed around 10.
