Brass is out there, both new and once fired. A single stage is a good way to start. But reloading is a rabbit hole for sure. I started on a single stage rock checker 50 years or so ago. It’s mounted and used often, but there’s also a Dillon 450 and two 650’s that are used weekly during shooting season when matches are going on.

Buy several manuals, and READ them. Several times over. Get a mentor and ask questions. I’ve been close to several blowups in the past, they will put your panties in a wad for sure.

I still use an RCBS single stage press too, as well as their manual trimmer, beam scale, chamfer and debur tools etc...

They still generate just as much accuracy as the $$$$ setups...just takes longer to get the rounds loaded.
Yes but I am never in a hurry when reloaded by anyway:
