I'm sure you've seen the long lines at the polls in states like FL and OH.
How much longer do you think those lines will be with fewer days to vote and fewer voting machines?
Never seem to be any long lines at the polls in the wealthy areas though.

So the long lines in FL and OH in poor areas will get longer if voters have to show ID? How many voters are turned away because of too few voting machines?

A large number of the conservative repubs I know are now turning libertarian, what's up with dat?

How does restricting voting days and hours affect liberals more than conservatives? How does requiring an ID to vote affect liberals more than conservatives? Please, I really want to understand the logic behind the argument.

Maybe this explains it.

Justice Department Expert Witness: Blacks 'Less Sophisticated Voters'

An expert witness paid with tax dollars by the United States Department of Justice testified that North Carolina election laws impact black voters disproportionately and that blacks are less sophisticated.

Charles Stewart, a political scientist was retained by the Justice Department to testify against voter identification laws and other election integrity measures. His testimony argued that ending same day voter registration and requiring voters to vote in the precinct where they live constitutes racial discrimination.

For the record, I do not believe it for a minute, it is just more liberal lies to try and prevent fair elections.

In the bedroom, conservatives just want to tell you who you can and can't sleep with, without regard to whether the other person consents.

In...well, everywhere, conservatives just want to tell you what you can and can't put in your body, even if it grows wild.

In the international sphere, conservatives just want to dictate to other countries how they'll behave, and enforce that at the point of every gun from a Special Forces operator's sidearm to a helicopter-carried Vulcan cannon. They believe in "national sovereignty" for the US, but the US's "right" to override that sovereignty anywhere it suits us.

Well, if you'd substitute "Republican" for "conservative", you'd be right.

You know how it works Ted.

You have a wealthy affluent part of town with say 30,000 eligible voters and you make the decision to deploy 18 voting machines in 6 locations.
You have a college campus, like say Ohio State University, also with 30,000 eligible voters, and you deploy 3 voting machines in 2 areas.

Of course college kids tend to not vote the "right" way so ... well
You know.

When the GOP establishment made a deal with the religious fundamentalists in the late 70's is when republican and conservative began to diverge to the extent is does today.
From that point on some of the conservative principles had to be "modified" to justify new .gov intrusions on privacy for the sake of political power in the short run.

Then what's up with all the legislation to require women to have an ultrasound exam before abortion?
Don't want to pay for a $10 pill but paying for a $500 ultrasound is just fine.

Sen Rubio says he plans to intraoduce federal legislation to ban visitors from several west African countries as soon congress returns to work.

How does restricting the number of voting days and hours do that?

You have your agendas and you're willing to employ the power of government to fulfill those agendas.
That's what I said.
The only difference is you have different agendas from liberals, not your willingness to embrace gov solutions to those agendas.

Ultrasound before abortion is an educational process and if it's just a $10 pill why do we need an insurance company to pay for it?

Travel from Africa and the Middle East should be halted. Nothing good coming from those places.

Limiting hours and days will not prevent the unemployed from voting. They're pretty much free all of the time.

No. Republicans want to dictate your life and the lives of others. True conservatives don't care who's **** you suck as long as you don't ask us to pay for it.

Conservatives and Republicans are no longer synonymous.

I dare say the first Republican president was a big government war monger. There was no need to invade a foreign country that posed no threat to the United States, but ole "Honest Abe" did it anyway.
