No one is talking about shutting down oil and gas production.
It is believed that only a few dozen of the existing 3200 injection wells are causing nearly all of the mag 3 and up quakes.
It won't be much of a burden to identify the problematic wells and practices and reach an acceptable remediation policy that satisfies everyone.
But to do that we first have to overcome the denial phase of the process.

What if these injection wells are relieving smaller amounts of tension in the earth that would one day produce a big quake? Hmmm me thinks this is accurate.
