OK Driver's License--Veterans

So here it is, after Nov 1.

I was under the impression that beginning Nov 1 I could go to the tag agency and have a "veteran" driver's license. All I needed to do was take proof of my status, like a copy of my DD214.

So, I go to the tag agency today with my 214.

Step up to the window and ask about it.

"Sorry, we can't do that yet. We don't have the machinery. In fact no one in Lawton can do it and we don't know when it will be available."

Anyone else get this line anywhere?

Has anyone else gotten theirs?

She did tell me that it means a new picture and processing.

I saw something about this on the news but didn't pay any attention as mine is not due for renewal.

Yep, they said the equipment is being deployed to all tag agencies soon. They did mention its available now in Edmond.

yep according to the news Edmond is the only place to get them at the moment.
