Section 1290.22.A

That's the new rule.
For posted, not prohibited, places Looks like there is no penalty, but after asked to leave you could be charged with trespassing.
I would read the rules for yourself.
Unfortunately one thing I think open carry is going to do is get some people in trouble open carrying in places they aren't supposed to be where if they were cc it would have gon unnoticed.

1290.22A was not amended in SB 1733. It is not 'new'. It still reads the same as it always has. Like you said, there is no penalty specified in that section.

I have yet to run into a place that has a no gun sticker on the door, other then hostipals. Where are you all seeing the anti-gun business's? I allways thought that if I run into one I would shop elsewhere, it's been easy so far.

I see these regularly. Two that come to mind are TGI Fridays and Target stores.

they're out there. Mostly hospitals as you mention. Some doctor's offices and some restaruants. The last place I worked was posted - MD Team - which some may know as Macklenburg Duncan. A few of the big furniture stores on Reno and that's about all I've ever run into. Not many to be sure.

Some say that on Nov 1 postings will go up to keep OC'rs out. If history repeats its self as it often does that'll last about a year just like when CC was legalized and all will go back to normal IMO.

Specialist3,

For Government buildings doing business with the public.. there is no exception....if you go into one of those carrying concealed or open, you can be arrested. That is covered in the SDA handbook.

The regulations / laws pertaining to your question about private businesses aren't covered in the SDA so much as they are covered under your local trespassing laws.

As I understand the trespass laws.... if you go into a posted business that has a 'No Guns Allowed' sign, they can ask you to leave... and if you fail to do so immediately, then you can be issued a trespass warning by the local police. The bad thing about that is you can't ever come back on the property again [even the parking lot]. If it happens to be your favorite grocery store, your bank or some other place of business you like to frequent on a regular basis... life could become kind of difficult for you.

Banned for life? Really? Seems unimaginable.

More like banned until the store owner / managment lifts the trespass restriction. Stores do this for shoplifters and other persons who disrupt their businesses. It kind of amounts to a slap on the wrist in a lot of cases. Probably depends on your town's fine for trespassing. In some towns / cities it is only $50. In others I understand it could be near $200.

Seems most movie theaters have this now, too. CC is always going to be the discreet way to go, and hey, if you didn't see the signs, you didn't see them. You can leave when asked, and no harm, no foul. I am however, a big proponent of OC, and I will spend my money in places that support that right whenever and wherever possible.
