I once rented a room at a Motel 6 late at night and they gave me my key. As my wife and I were dragging our bags in, I opened the door to find a man and his son (I assume, about 6 y/o) crawled up in bed, watching TV. They freaked the hell out (of course) and I muttered something stupid and closed the door.
We waltzed our happy arses back to the office where they already had another key ready for us. I assume the guy in the room called and bitched them out. I had no intention of accepting another key, told them to remove the charge from my credit card and we found our way to another hotel.
Frigging idiots.
