That was so frustrating to see the perp drive away from so many chances they had to trap him.
This morning they're saying he got a gun from the black pickup he tried to steal, the longer they let him run the more chance there is for bad things to happen. In this case he started shooting at cops after he got the gun.
I know I'm armchair quarterbacking but dayum!

Prob not a good idea to leave a handgun in an unlocked truck . How many toddlers & small kids die that way, not to mention giving an unarmed lowlife criminal a weapon to kill police

Almost no toddlers and small kids die that way, but I 100% agree with it being a dumb idea because of automobile breakins. You should never leave a weapon in your car unattended unless you're at one of those "gun free zones" and you're sure they use metal detectors.

Man, I dont think I would want a single officer in that exchange to help me herd cattle much less contain a public threat. Im glad he was caught with minimal impact to the public, but holy hell did every responding officer look like an untrained buffoon in the process.
No i meant unsecured weapons in general are unsafe & result in tragedy. If people have kids playing in the yard, leaving an unlocked truck with a weapon is irresponsible & possibly criminal

negative ghostriderI don't know, maybe law enforcement let these things go on for a while so everyone involved can get some 'real world' experience and enhanced training in everything from pursuit driving, pit maneuvers, stop stick deployment, car/helicopter radio use, and tactics (management), among other things
