any public land hunters doing any good out there?

Not me, but Some guys that were hunting pretty close to me on Deep Fork shot a nice little buck yesterday morning.

Have seen deer every time out except this morning. Other hunters were walking around this morning at 7:30 I shot 2 opening day and my buddy shot one. No signs of rutting

you out at t-bird? F'ng ranger drove around the perimeter Sunday spooking lots of deer.

I have bben hunting private land without much luck so far. I am going to a spot on some public land this evening to give it a shot. It is some thick stuff on a river bottom.

was out at ft. gibson this weekend. Nothing. One of the guys I ran into on the way out said he spooked up a split fork buck on the way in, but no one else saw a thing. Pretty depressing. In my scouting I've seen some rubs, but thats just about it.
