Republicans Raise Terror Alarm After Illegal Immigrants Caught With Explosive Devices

Republican senators have sounded the alarm on the Biden administration's border policies after Border Patrol agents caught illegal border crossers who were carrying explosive devices that Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said were "tailor-made for terrorism."

Mr. Barrasso, who is the Senate Republican Conference Chairman, made the startling revelation at a press conference on Oct. 31, alongside Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), and Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.), following their recent visit to the U.S.–Mexico border.
The senators said that over 8 million illegal border crossings have taken place under President Joe Biden's watch, while asserting that explosive devices found on some border crossers in recent days represent an elevated risk of terror acts against the homeland.

"We have just returned from our southern border, and it is painfully clear that with Joe Biden's open border policy, our country is really at an increased threat for a terrorist attack," Mr. Barrasso said at Tuesday's press conference.

Several days ago, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents seized illegal immigrants carrying with them improvised explosive devices that Mr. Barrasso said were the "size of cannonballs" and were "tailor-made for terrorism."

I’m sure Senator Barrasso is an expert on identifying explosives and not trying to further an agenda.

Sure, there could be explosives, and smuggling explosives over the border isn’t a good thing, but saying that “explosives looked like they were for terrorism” is as presumptive as saying “that AR15 in the gun shop is definitely a mass shooting murder weapon”. My personal opinion of the rumors is that Hamas isn’t gonna come here to fight/cause chaos in the US. If we were fighting all of Mexico and South America, and it was a losing battle, would we go send off fighters to invade China, because they support Mexico? Organizationally, being both the government and military of Gaza they do most of their work these. Also Hezbollah (shite) and Hamas (sunni) are not friends, the just have a common enemy and would be killing each other if Israel was not between them. in the US both are primarily seeking monetary and intellectual support, think the pro-palistine rallys at colleges. Palestinians attacking inside the US hurts their cause of being a legitimate state, that is why Palestinian terror groups have done very little international terrorism since the 90's after a flurry of bombings and hijackings in the 60-80s. They focus their resources on attacking Israel. Now other groups like All Qaeda and it's successors do seek to directly attack the the US, as well as radicalized Islamic individuals with strong Palestinian sympathies.

Should we be careful? You bet. Should we shut down the border and figure out a better way to handle immigration? Absolutely. Should we sit around and beat our war drums and talk about how we’re all gonna get killed because libs are letting in terrorists over our borders? No, its a waste of time, energy, and emotion. Hell, some little kid was stabbed to death in jersey or some NE hellhole because he was of Palestinian descent. There’s no reason why grown men should be wandering around scared out of their minds of little kids, and there’s no reason to be believing that politicians are saying what they say simply because they are only looking out for us.
