In the past was a Bar 30-06 / 3-9x40 Redfield Scope, but this year is my new toy Savage 10fp 308 / 6-25x56 Millett LRS. Plus I always have either my Taurus 66 .357mag or my S&W M&P 40 for all of my short range shots.

My high seat rifle is a Sig SHR-970 in the 25-06.

For shorter ranged stands I'll use either my German Mauser or my Winchester 94. 30-30

Marlin in 30-30 w/ see-through sites and a cheapo Simmons on top.
It's my sweet 16th B-day rig and the only thing I have ever used to kill-em-dead.

450 marlin for small does, 300 weatherby for far away mulies, and 243 BAR for anything left moving. I drew a bonus tag this year, for a total of 7 deer.:tounge2:

I feel for you poor souls that only get 6.

I'll be taking my two rifles. Only because my fat a$$ tends to trip and fall easily so I have an extra with me since we are in an isolated area.

First: Wet weather = Mod 70 All-Terrain Classic, 30-06, Stainless with composite under a Leupold VXII 3-9 x 40 with 3lb trigger.

Second (and favorite): Rem 788 Carbine, 7m-08, with Leupold 2-7 x 32 and 2.75 lb trigger. This SOB shoots exceptionally well. Not light but handles well in the think stuff.
