Nikon works great for a 10/22. I really love mine, and it worked great for squirrel hunting last year too.

I haven't found a good mil dot cheaper than the p-22.

I can concede to that. Quality FFP mil-mil's ran me a few paychecks. The only cheap MD's I've seen were all 2FP, and ain't nobody got time for fixed power lol

I rarely use my P-22 on anything but X2. Don't really think about it.

I needed some for my .22's as well...picked up the Nikon Buckmaster BDC 3-9x40 for 129.99 and free shipping/ no tax from Cabela's a while back..still on sale. I'd say this one or Vortex Crossfire II are more than suitable. Nikon is less expensive and in my opinion possibly a better choice between the two. This conclusion after using both scopes. At this price I don't see any feature as being a waste of money since you would be hard pressed to find something better for less money!
