FROM WHAT i UNDERSTOOD ON THE MORNING NEWS The shooter went straight to get a lawyer instead of being treated like a criminal. He not only took out the perp, he did all the taxpayers a favor. If someone comes in with anything that resembles a weapon, it is not murder. It is self defense. You never know if, in this instance if the gun is real or not, or if the perp will shoot everyone in the building to leave no witness. The shooter should be CITIZEN OF THE YEAR, and this sends a message to other thugs! With CCW you are taking your life in your own hands when you do crap like this.
In short, the perp got what he deserved!
What part of Self Defense do you not understand? Turn in your CCW!
He made himself look guilty by leaving.... I think he new he messed up and left. But my opinion, you can't muder someone whos already dead 
Yes, he was probably in 'shock' over having to shoot so many times in order to down the perpetrator (thinking he needs a bigger caliber), but it wasn't 'shock' that lead him to stand over the robber and cap one directly into his head once he was down.
Most of us don't have too much of a problem about this POS being taken down, but that last shot directly to the head (coup de grace) WAS over the top and will be what sends him to prison. Even on the battlefield, doing that will get you charged with murder.

Besides, have you not heard, we now have constitutional carry.
Again, no one is disputing that self-defense is not permitted nor illegal, or that he didn't have the right to protect himself, but the whole problem is with the propriety of that last Coup de Gracie shot directly to the perps head. If/when he goes to prison, that last shot, will be the reason why.
My wife and I were vaxed, and almost died, then we got the booster, and almost died! Slow learners I guess, but no more vax for us!
Airliner hijacking occurred on a regular basis all over the world for decades, and nothing athorities could do seemed to help, remember? Then 9/11/2001 happened, and there has not been even one attempted hijacking, anywhere, since!! Why is that? IS THERE A LESSON IN THIS? would-be hijackers know that no passenger, anywhere, will ever again sit-by and be flown into a building! RIGHT? If we ever stop, or slow down, the senseless mass killings, by SPOILED BRATS seeking their minute of fame, it will be because we the people will no longer tolerate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If just one PUNK mass shooter, were literal torn apart by a mob, on national TV, and the mob was portrayed as the HEROS, by the media, this non-sense would slow down, or stop, don't you think?
