I was about 19 when I quit going into the woods before sunup all the old guys would go into the woods at dark 30 and spook all the deer.
I went into the woods at that time also and kicked up a lot of deer and it was closer to noon before I would see any . heck i scared them away.
When I waited until the sun was up to walk out I seen deer much earlier.
I was able to shoot them because it was no longer dark.

I saw to different 3.5 yo bucks breed does on 11/14 first one at 12;40 the other around 3 he bred her twice. That was 15 miles apart. One in Logan county the other in Garfield. Seeing weanlings roaming alone or with known dry does. Seen an increased amount of mid day cruising and locked down buck doe pairs. Peak activity seems to be right now.

Lot of driving yesterday, saw one doe about 100y north of the house yesterday morning at 8:45 and that was the only deer I saw all day, Drove about 200 miles total throughout the day.

I hope they’re not in lockdown mode. I’m headed NW in about an hour.
