NORMAN, Okla. -- All-American wide receiver Ryan Broyles is coming back to Oklahoma for his senior season, saying he believes he can get himself "better prepared for the NFL."

Broyles set school records this season with 131 receptions for 1,622 yards and also eclipsed the Sooners' career records for receptions, yardage and touchdowns.

His decision Thursday comes one day after linebacker Travis Lewis announced he would return to Oklahoma next season with the goal of pursuing a national championship.

Broyles says he wants to "win more championships and break every record possible as a receiver" and considers himself fortunate to have the players around him to accomplish his goals.

This rocks for us OU fans. I figured those guys would be gone & next year might be interesting. Now with some key players stayin the team should be pretty solid next year. I was impressed this year given the high number of freshman playing.

Next year could possibly be a run at a National title if they can start with the momentum they ended with this year.

Let's see......go to the NFL and get a huge multi million signing bonus + multi million yearly salary or.......play another year of college ball risking permanent career ending injury.Hmmmmm.......decisions,decisions........if he gets injured he could always fall back on that college degree.:rolleyes2 :rollingla:rollingla:rollingla

All of human life is one big attempt to avoid the "risk of permanent career ending injuries". Besides, anyone in his position buys insurance against such a thing. He's a millionaire either way.
