T. Boone Pickens gave a lot of money to support athletics and academic programs at OSU; do you think he would've given nearly as much money if it weren't for OSU athletics?

uhhhhhhhhhhh, more like, would OSU athletics be anything without T.Boone money. Pickens was giving BIG$$$$$$$ to OSU long before they were a major player in the conference. HIS money is what allowed them to recruit (BUY) better players and build their athletic program. Of course, he MADE all that money from being such an outstanding OSU athlete, same as ALL those donors at OU or any other University.

Only thing worse than the overpaid, prima donna, cry baby, collegiate players are those in the NFL.

Scholarships performance based, ABSOLUTELY. Athletes not being able to read or write, because of being coddled by the system and their refusal to take advantage of what has been GIVEN to them.

$$$$$ generated by 'soonernation' = BIG $$$$$ as long as they win ........... the fickle fan won't spend a penny when the footballers start a losing / rebuilding? season. We have sold OU wear, and some years you can't give the crap away.

I love the fickle fans, just loud and obnoxious when "their" team is winning. I was in Atlanta back in '91. Leaving the airport saw a HUGE billboard beside the freeway said "GO BRAVES!!!!! and take those sorry assed FALCONS with you." and look at t he difference now.

Some peoples is soooooooooooooooooo stupid. Get fired up and put your money where it matters.
