I took a solid year learning all I needed to know to build my dream computer. I bought every PC magazine and read them front to back and when I put it all together I started that bad boy up and was blown away by what I was able to do when I put my mind to it.
I was so proud, and just like the mechanic in all of us, I wanted to take a look under the hood while it was running to really breathe it all in! I slid the side of the tower back and watched my right index finger slowly headed towards the hard drive…I just wanted to touch it, right?
It became the biggest paperweight on the desk at that point and I learned a very expensive lesson and can still recall watching that dang finger wiggle something that didn’t want wiggled.
Moral of the story, build it! Have fun with it but don’t look under the hood.
