My yard has some low spots and some eroded areas that could use a fill in.

Are all the local companies about the same when it comes to soil quality and price? I would probably just pay to have them deliver it since I think I need at least 10 cubic yards.

These guys are in cow town and have different grades of mulch and soil.

I picked up 2 cubic yards a month ago in the bed of my 1947 Dodge.
Bottomed out on the snubbers.
Drives much better that way no swaying side to side.

Call them up or drive down there and see the soil for yourself.
They do deliver.
Minimum 4 yards for delivery.

That's the other place I was trying to remember. We got some of their 50/50 mix when first moved to our house 6 years ago. Used Minnick for mulch. Can't say anything bad about either. Need to 'refresh' our garden soil soon.

I've used and priced both in the past. I ended up using Murphy's (got them when I priced through 1-800- Top-Soil). They were the cheapest I found and great quality. It was screened and treated, and my yard never looked better than after that. Gonna use them again soon, if this run of bad luck will quit draining my account.

I have heard of people getting taken ordering topsoil, it seems the trucks didn't have the quality the buyer wanted. They substituted more costly top soil for river sand or similar. Be careful out there.

We are planning on using these guys too. Been a rough couple of months taking care of two households and bills for both.

Just got some soil for my raised bed garden. Got it from Praire dirt solutions. Was a good price and they had a 50/50 blend with compost. However, got the soil tested and it is Clay loam. I believe Mimmick uses sandy loam which is better…
