What is everyones opinion as what to plant as a spring/summer food plot. Not real big, just drout tollerant. I am leaning towards soy beans I think.

True.
I haven't done a lot of spring plots as the farmers around the area do it for me:D

If one were in an area where there is not much farming, I'd try something that would come up quick like wheat, and then plant strips of soy beans and then milo.
Each will mature at different times from spring until fall, keeping a food source available for them year around.

I would suggest you plant "Power Plant" from the Whitetail Institute. It contains several varieties of seed which will mature at different times during the summer and the deer love it and will bed down in it. Follow the planting instructions explicitly and you and the deer will be happy. You can order it online from the Whitetail Institute of North America.
