Atwoods does the same thing, but all the way to the car is fairly new. On the first handgun I bought there, they just escorted me to the store exit.

Actually, when the call came out, the employee said it was an ex of some kind and she was scared of him or something. The employee had some major issues...

Customers can carry in the store, but employees aren't allowed to on the clock. Dunno if that extends to 3rd party vendors.

Never understood the reasoning behind escorting customers who passed a NICS check to the exit. Then again, I'm sure they want to cover their bases liability wise.
