I thought walmart had an open gun policy? I see OC in Ponca all the time in our store. Perhaps the employee's need some training as to what is and is not allowed in the store by the paying customer.

Kinda off topic, if you buy a gun in walmart, they have to take it all the way to your vehicle in the parking lot while you have an open carry .45 in condition one openly displayed on your hip.
Now does that make sense? I actually witnessed that happen.

An old policy that was in place before CC and OC came along maybe? Kinda silly.

Atwoods does the same thing, but all the way to the car is fairly new. On the first handgun I bought there, they just escorted me to the store exit. :anyone:

Actually, when the call came out, the employee said it was an ex of some kind and she was scared of him or something. The employee had some major issues...

Customers can carry in the store, but employees aren't allowed to on the clock. Dunno if that extends to 3rd party vendors.

Never understood the reasoning behind escorting customers who passed a NICS check to the exit. Then again, I'm sure they want to cover their bases liability wise.

sounds like there was plenty of idiocy all around.

I'm gonna give the JBTs a pass on this one. What ****ing idjit REACHES in their damned bag in this day and age AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TO?? and expects to NOT get shot??

And Wal-Mart employee/customer -- no offense to any employee/customer who frequents our fine forum -- just ... well ... the VAST majority of that demographic is ... ahem ... "touched".
