I don't understand these people. When I sing "anything", it is clear to me that it stinks. I have no problem understanding that "The Star-Spangled Banner" as done by me would be pathetic. If it's that easy for me (with no musical training) to figure out, why can't they see themselves?

Is there some monetary advantage to making a fool of yourself on National TV?

But, bad as that is, what about the people who select these idiots to embarass us all? Couldn't they just ask for a demo video, or some sort of audition?
