It is about race but also economics. Someone has to pay for the welfare of the illegals and it is up to the workers of this country to do so. Biden is going to increase taxes, he already said he was but even that will not be enough for the beast. He and his Democrats will force feed us more taxation until we have no middle class, only the rich and poor.

Decisions based on merit are not racist. Like I said earlier, I could care less what color someone is if they bring the skill we need. And they enter through a legal and thorough vetting process.

Yes, anything based on merit is not racist ... unless those making the claim believe or would like to convince you that certain races are inferior and lack any merit equivalent to any other race being assumed to be superior. Those fomenting the claim of racism are the racists.

Eugenics. Scientific Racism. Quota systems that ranked people based upon where they came from and almost completely excluded others. The desire to maintain a certain racial composition of the American. Go read up on who drafted the Immigration Act of 1924 which most of the ideas that you and many others think are reasonable come from. Today we use coded language like culture or say it’s a plan to bring in new voters for the other party, or an invasion force. It’s still the same fear mongering.

“Culture” is not racist. You can toss out all the leftist rhetoric you want but as you can see, no one is buying it. I specifically pointed out that it’s entirely possible to have a racially diverse society that’s homogeneous and unified.

That is NOT what the current open door policy is creating. We’re not unified and it’s getting worse every year. A nation divided will not stand.

How about an amendment that says anyone crossing illegally is permanently banned from voting. You know, when we get a solid 2/3 majority in congress.

Too many don’t realize “Illegal” immigration says a great deal about your relationship to your government as a citizen.

Citizenship, our citizenship, in America is on life-support. If hoards of people can flow across our Nation’s borders, make their way to communities, and either Federal, State, County or Municipality be responsible for housing, feeding, educating or providing health care at citizen’s expense, as they are doing now, and do so without referendum or vote, then you are a subject and not a citizen.

Taxation is properly a legislative process arrived at through representation and debate in Congress elected & voted into office by citizens to fund agreed upon American priorities.

It should not be something levied on citizens against their will on behalf of non-citizens without end or without consent of the governed.

Never mind that the Constitution explicitly calls for the Federal Government to protect States from invasion, not facilitate invasion! The political regime responsible should all be rotting in jail. I’d settle for permanent deportation!

But I would entertain an even trade: one-for-ine trade of wall-eyed leftist for people fleeing socialism who understand the motte-and-bailey fallacy on offer by leftists in America.

I’m super frustrated right now because everything being said about the Lankford negotiated $118B Senate “Border Bill”, is a complete lie, right down to the fact that it’s not even a Bill at all.

That’s right, the “Border Bill” is actually Senate Amendment 1371 to H.R.815, which already passed the House on March 7th, 2023, but was never taken up in the Senate.

H.R.815 is actually a Veterans Bill to fund veterans healthcare, called the RELIEVE Act.
Ostensibly it is supposed to help pay for veterans healthcare:

“Removing Extraneous Loopholes Insuring Every Veteran Emergency Act or the RELIEVE Act
This bill expands eligibility for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) reimbursement of emergency treatment for veterans who are treated in a non-VA facility. Specifically, the bill waives the requirement that a veteran must have received VA care within the 24-month period preceding the furnishing of emergency treatment if the veteran receives such emergency treatment within the 60-day period following their enrollment in the VA health care system.

Additionally, the bill extends through December 28, 2031, higher rates for certain loan fees under the VA home loan program.”

So here comes Senator Patty Murray, (D)WA with Senate Amendment 1371:

Senate Amendment 1371 is her Amendment and is cosponsored by Chuck Schumer, not Lankford. Lankford, Synema (I)AZ and Chris Murphy (D)CT negotiated the Amendment. It does NOT appreciably increase border security or reduce illegal immigration (I’ve read it). Here’s how the money flows:

Notice that Gaza gets almost 50% of what the border gets. Not Israel, Gaza. If that weren’t enough, Ukraine gets three times as much as the Border. The border only gets 17% of the funding in this Amendment, yet they’re all pretending it’s a “Border Bill”. It’s not.

Worse yet, the border section is riddled with loopholes, exemptions, implementation deferrals and circumvention authorities that absolutely ensure that the border will never be “closed”, even of they had 100,000 migrant encounters in a week (not all of which would even count).

Seriously, read the damned Amendment and see for yourself! Lankford is lying his ass off by way of obfuscation. None of what he claims would actually happen, but it would really fatten a lot of people’s wallets at the expense of the taxpayers!

Call and write all your Senators and Representatives to let them know they need to oppose this Amendment to a House Bill they would never pass if it was actually about helping veterans. Don’t let them pretend you oppose veterans healthcare and border security because that’s not what this is about at all.
