Losing your best buddy makes a hole in your heart and leaves an empty space in your life. Hang in there RKM.

Its always rough dogs for most of us are closer to us then our wives. You however should be one proud individual. You rescued a dog and gave it a great life. That is an awesome thing. An animal that has small chance at even surviving very long becomes a dog that lives 15 years and hangs with a great friend that whole time.

I'm feeling this one....I took my 14yo Corgi in Friday Morning to be put down...His back legs had been useless for awhile, almost deaf, and other issues were cropping up..He was a hell of a dog..big dog in a little dog body. Its really hard not to get choked up when they are sitting on the exam table and you tell the vet to go through with it
