When the carjacker is fleeing, the threat and fear of life changes. But the emotions likely didn't.

Big no-no. He disarmed the attempted carjacker and then shot him while fleeing.
He was no longer a threat while fleeing which is why Allen was arrested and charged.

Me too, I mean he took the risk to wrestle the gun away from a damn carjacker. I’d have to see the video it must be pretty bad, but I do hope he beat it!

Like Paul Harvey said, here's "the rest of the story"...

Cousino was a convicted felon. He gave Allen the AR pistol to hold for him because of that. They met at the QT so Cousino could get his gun back. When he got the gun he attempted to carjack Allen of his car. They struggled over the gun. Cousino ran away. Allen shot him as he ran away and wounded him. Allen then chased him down and shot him several more times, killing him. A bystander was also wounded by Allen.

Allen is not the good guy here. If what the affidavit says is accurate, he's lucky he's not being charged with murder. Play stupid games and all that...

Some of the comments above are a perfect illustration of why it's a bad idea to form judgments before you know at least some of the facts.
