I have a gun from both.I gots one for you, Trade Mart. Before Walmart ever existed. TG&Y and OTASCO
That is probably a pretty good scenerio.I suspect it is just temporary....employees being shifted to meet the demand for groceries
Walmart is advertising for thousands of jobs nationwide, some temp and some permanent so with everything going on, moving folks to what is allowed to remain open might be a business decision. Guns and ammo coming back when it's over.My mother works for WM in Louisiana (at a medium sized store, not supercenter), and they got told this week that the store might shutdown everything but pharmacy and grocery sides...this news was confirmed to me by store employees in Elk City yesterday, though it didn't apply to them...and I saw ammo/guns on shelf yesterday in Elk City, as well as someone buying ammo...
Quickly becoming another TG&Y, but with groceries.Good news I guess for Academy and the local gun shops. I've been going less and less to Walmart anyway, for anything. There is little to no customer service, especially at the registers. They also sell a bunch of cheap, low-end stuff.
\Looks like little richards won't be benefiting from it.

That's true.\
Hate to see anybody lose their jobs in this economy. I know we hate the business model they operate on, but humans work there to support their families and they are victims of the corporate mind thinking.
