The wind is what blows my mind. You’d think a 175grain Sierra Matchking would be a lot less effected by the wind than these lighter grain creedmors.

Yep. I drove myself nuts last weekend working on 4" steel at 300 yards. (16" M5) I put it away and broke out my 6.5. Zero wind holds and 4 for 4.

If 6.5 Creedmoor is the latte man bun elf boots of the rifle world, I wonder how much caffeine a latte has?

6.5 credmore is really popular right now for competition shooting.

I tried some 175 bullets but they just did not hold a far out group for me compared to a 155.
You have a .505 BC with the 175 and a 155 gr sierra palma gets you .504 BC and those bullets like to be pushed fast.
Do not use the Palma on deer as it will pencil through.

.519 BC on tipped match king 155.
I was getting 2900 fps from my .308 with the 155 palma and 3176 from my 30-06.
I have only shot targets to 600 yards though and odd thing is one day at OKC gun club the .308 was having issues with steel at 600.
I was using a low bc hunting round that was not really fast 2680-2700fps .378 bc.

I went to the .223 savage axis with 3195 fps 55gr v'max and ding ding ding it went.
Something about that fast little bullet that just does not follow the math.

I’m doing this stuff while I’m in my 20’s so I can’t say “I wish I did that” when I’m in my 50’s lol.
