Done em all.
I really don't have a preference, although I do hunt from a stand most of the time.
The last deer taken last weekend was while sitting on the ground, backed up to some 500lb bombs at Big Mac.
I have tower blinds, tree stands, ladder stands, or what-ever.
One can't get stuck in one mode of hunting. Do what you have to do with the terrain at hand.

I'm a stand hunter.
Don't have enough land to still hunt, and I lack the skills anyways.

I have much respect for good still hunters. That's on the same level with guys that consistently hang stands within bowrange of mature bucks. I can't do either.:lookaroun

If I had the skill and the land, I think still hunting would have to be the most fun you could have rifle hunting. I try to be sneaky to and from stand during gun season, but I just don't have it.

Any of you guys ever read the Benoit books? That impresses the hell out of me. Larry Benoit has more hunting skill in his little finger than any "famous" hunter.

None of the above.

I call it guerrilla warfare hunting. I basically move as fast as I can, covering as much ground as possible. I've literally ran full speed after deer turkey, and antelope to get a shot (I obviously did not catch the antelope. I ain't that fast).

I like to stand hunt but I've probably spent more time in a ground blind than anything. I'm talking a brush blind built out of limbs, leaves and sticks. The "natural" look has caught a lot of deer off guard for me over the years. I broke down this year and bought my first pop-up blind. Got it set up, added a little brush to it, and can't wait to try it out!
