A Tissot is on my radar too. I did a little digging and found this. It has some good info.

Wow! Some of those guys are pretty anal about movement accuracy! I had seen some threads over there but not that one. I guess I won't worry too much about the plastic parts, they've been out for a little while now and I'm not paying for a Patek/Rolex/Omega/etc. or anything, so if I get a few years out of it and it goes kaput, I guess I can live with that. I'll decide on sending it in for factory service or just replacing when it happens.

Well, since I recently fell into ownership of a PPK, a Seamaster would seem like the logical choice for a next “grail watch”

or a Pelagos- wait - maybe a black bay gmt, - or another DOXA but with a black face this time

Lol

Am I allowed to post again? Still waiting on a Batman or Batgirl. However in November I bought an Omega Seamaster 300m in Summer Blue. This year may be a good year, so thinking of an Omega Planet Ocean, other watches I like are the Longines Big Eye Avigator or a Hanhart 417 ES, or the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic. That may change.

I've posted about this before,,,
In fact this topic has it's own thread.

But what the heck,,,
I'm snowed in, bored, and like to write.

First, I need to buy a complete Ruger 10/22 action with BX-1 Trigger,,,
Then I need to buy a good 16" or 18" threaded bull barrel,,,
Then I need to buy a Magpul MOE X-22 stock.

This will become a Kit that I am going to gift away to my best friend,,,
He has helped me greatly this past year,,,
He deserves a splendid gift.

Then I'm going to do something I've never allowed myself to do before,,,
I'm going to purchase nothing but top notch 10/22 components.

I'm going to assemble (I can't really use the word build),,,
What I will call a "No Alibi's Allowed" rifle.

Basically a rifle that has so much innate precision,,,
That when I shoot and miss the bullseye,,,
It will be like that Led Zeppelin tune,,,
"Ain't Nobody's Fault but My Own".

I recently sold a pair of revolvers so I have a starting bankroll,,,
I also have a stash of what I call "guilt free" allowance,,,
What the sale of those revolvers won't cover,,,
I can make up with this reserve.

I'm 72 years old and have skirted this a few times,,,
But inevitably I always cheaped out in the end.

I'm retired, single, and am financially stable,,,
I'm thinking a rifle with all KIDD parts,,,
A top of the line Tactical Scope,,,
And a truly sexy blue stock.

Aw heck,,,
I might even stop using bulk ammo. 😁

This is very well and good -- but what kind of watch are you looking forward to buying?
