It was only for a few hours. The 50 an hour is probably what got him all hot and bothered about it, and why he said something. I work at the radio shop, so just hear some of the story.

You are right, I was stating that the 50 was going to the officer, and am wrong in the fact that all gigs will pay that. I had an Officer in the shop who doesnt normally work side jobs and was excited that he had one, and thats what it was paying. I figured the officer got OT pay when doing security. Anyways, my point being that people do and will pay 15-23 an hour and beyond for security be it private or off-duty. I imagine there is some burden paid in addition to the officer's hourly wage for wear and tear on the car, gas, etc. Also, from my understanding, the officer is limited in their capacity as an LEO. Curious as to whether that is correct or not?
