The carpet needs to match the drapes--either go with black furniture or paint the hand guard FDE to match the FDE furniture. I'd go all black, but I'm boring like that.

Just want you to know I haven't forgotten about this, I just haven't been in any hurry to get back to this project.

Does it hold up well?

I wonder how difficult it is to remove cerakote...
Blits removed by blasting. The substrate below cerakote is removed (well, if it was done correctly), so youre really best just going over it. Krylon holds up like any other basic spray paint. Not great. Best results ive seen from a typical homeowner is with duracoat, shake and spray. It works very well, actually. Ive done a few guns that way. As for what id do with it? Od green with black small parts is a look i like.
