Anyone have natural gas? Where would the fumes go? What about gas that is in car or lawn mower? I think it would kind of suck to get gas dumped on top of you because your car was above you.

You could run through hypotheticals all day long. If you can keep debris from making direct contact with your face and/or piecing your vital organs, which is what kills people, then I wouldn't worry too much about being trapped, or fumes or whatevs.

I would worry about that old lady next door taking a whiz on yer leg, tho. Eww.

No I can't find the news article but I read in the past about pets dying in garage shelters and this is why shawnee passed this to prevent any human loss due to fumes.

edit: get one of these

The best place to be if a Tornado hits is Underground. That's why I have a 12 person Storm Safe.

It sits under the front of an Escalade, so if the roof collapses we should be able to shimmy out.

Mine is registered with our neighborhood security and everyone that knows us is aware that we have it.

If a Tornado hits an area it is SWARMED with people, we would never be in there more than a couple hours if something happened.
