If you sit and think about what I am about to say, it is true.
We are all immigrants, but we do pay taxes (some of us) and we contribute to medicare (some of us).
I honestly think if they can contribute like some of the rest of us then I think we would be in great shape
plus everyone would be contributing.
Stop complaining and start helping.
If not we are in a world of ......

The old "they're taking our jobs" argument is moot. Most companies are having trouble FINDING people to work for them right now, even with unemployment as bad as it is. It has nothing to do with the number of jobs available, it has to do with American's unwillingness to work for anything less than $20 an hour.

Don't get me wrong, these people are ILLEGAL immigrants, I understand they have committed a crime and shouldn't simply be granted amnesty or citizenship, but there are more pressing matters to be fixed and many people that were born here who deserve to be kicked out more.

so I suppose all of you will be the "decider" as to gets kicked out -when did you become the omnipotent one....suppose someone decided to kick you out basis their opinion of what you do...what then...alot of those folks on welfare would be working the low/medium wage jobs now held by illegals....the high school kids could get a job and learn to make their way before its too late...they do not have that opportunity...the oportunity has been illegally taken from them....I wonder what jobs "that cant be filled" you speak of....which employers (that pay a decent wage) cant find help...none that I know of...is it to be our policy that the borders are open, come one come all, we will run somebody out for you --they are already pretty much open to the drug trade..

First off, satire is clearly missed by some. Secondly, who are these folks on welfare that can't find work (regardless of the illegal immigrant argument)? Post up the town they're in and I bet I can find hiring companies in that area.

Just because you don't know of unfilled jobs, doesn't mean they don't exist (and what is "a decent wage" according to you?). A simple look at the number of open jobs in nearly any area of this state (which is a state with a fairly depressed economy), while at the same time looking at welfare numbers and unemployment rates will tell you that illegals aren't taking jobs that Americans want - they're taking the jobs that some Americans refuse to do. The wanted ad in my local town has jobs in it (I know several employers who tell me stories of folks who just won't show up to work) and I know several able-bodied folks abusing the welfare system that refuse to go get an application and attempt to better themselves.

I think failure to punctuate should be banninated.

Punctuation is the difference between "Helping your Uncle Jack, off his horse" and "Helping your uncle jack off his horse."

I keep hitting "1" on my keyboard hoping this will change to American English. I may have to amend my previous statement to include those who can't speak/type English...

I submit that Americans want the jobs they just dont want the rate of pay...young people would like to move out on their own and support themselves---cant---the construction trades are paying 50% more than they did in the 70's and the cost of living is up 500-600%---basis-- cars-homes-food etc--for those that say--I've got mine now you go get yours--you need to look at the bigger picture--its not all about you, its about the nation and the health and vitality of our Uninted States...it would cost you 100/mo instead of 60.00 to get your yard done....9000.00 for your roof instead of 7000.00...your pay would rise to meet the costs....people just want to be far superior to the next guy and money/shiney things is how we keep score....sad state of affairs...I worked next to 3 different ex-cons back in the day(carpenter-concrete finisher and brick layer)...nice guys worked hard and stayed out of jail...they could get a job...cant now...back into jail on your tax dollar...

Never heard it explained that way and that's coming from a Sasakwa, Oklahoma grad. I'll have to remember that one Whitey. Thanks.

Ha ha ha! So now, its not just "durdook er doo" (They took our jobs), but its also "They made me commit crime!" That's just grand.

I would suggest that those needing work not be picky about pay. Work 2 jobs, if you have to. I know I did when I needed it.
