I check how long they've been a member, and how many visits their profile page has had.

It is really nice though for people to have feedback, and to see what they have posted.

Funny. I just sold to a gentleman with no posts yesterday. In this persons case they had been a member for over a year, but no posts. I tend to like dealing with folks that have been member's for awhile, and have established themselves with posts. Don't care so much about if the have feedback or not. Anyway, this person ended up being a really nice guy. Maybe I've just been lucky, but so far I've had only good experiences on OSA. Honestly, I could care less about a bill of sale. As long as the person is legal to sell to, I'm good. Now, if for some reason you have a "bad feeling....or get some bad vibe" from a person, you should use your own instincts.

I've been surprised (not just here, but at gun shows, etc.) by the number of people who have the "You want me to do PAPERWORK on this?" response. Then they make that face where it looks like they think you smell funny.

I've never done a bill of sale on a personal gun I've sold, but I'm at that point now where I have no personal guns I would part with. All the guns I have for sale are in the log books.
