Opinions don't count, but there is no need in trying to hide your bigotry.

Let me guess. You want to discuss what the word "is" means next?

For the record, Ridge and I prefer synthetic motor oil. That water based stuff doesn't hold up.

I never heard of Astrogide until I watched it was mentioned during an episode "Californication" SO I will have to take your word for it. But my offer still stands. When you guys get married, let me know what pharmacy you are registered at and I will get you some.

I am not even trying to make that point so why would I provide such?

That an atheist providing a secular rationale is a closeted Christian or Muslim?

Again, I am not defending nor have I condoned any secular rationalization to being against same sex marriage. I am only saying that one does not have to be of any faith to be against it. It is moot if their rationale is logical or credible.

Secondary point is that people are intolerant of anyone who opposes same sex marriage for whatever the reason … as illustrated when the pots met the kettles on this thread.

I'm not asking you to condone the argument laid out. I'm asking you to provide that an atheist, or something of the like, made that argument. If you're merely saying there's no religion in some arguments, well that doesn't really hold any water as I will show in a moment. What you need to honestly prove is lack of religious bias. People can fill others full of smoke and mirrors all day long and that may be enough for yourself to continue a hollow argument, but how about you show someone like Dawkins arguing as such?

Now to your point to whether is logical or credible is somewhat false. An atheist, or something of the like, is more likely to use logic/facts instead of emotion to come to their conclusions in contrast to religious beliefs. Since nobody here can provide a logical reason with facts, I'm going to say again that you might find some arguments devoid of religion here or there, but the bias behind the argument remains. It reminds me of a time when I was in an ethics class and a girl responded to the question of the morality of homosexuality as "well a round peg just doesn't fit in a square hole." While her argument was completely devoid of religion, she was later found to have an obvious bias.

...According to an atheistic worldview there can be no such thing as right or wrong...
Although many religious people teach this, it's complete bulls$hit. There's an older thread here where we debated the sources of morality, if you want more info. But, suffice to say, there are more than the mythology you refer to.

Then explain how there is good and evil if we evolved from monkeys.

Granted that was a reply devoid of logic and deserves it's own thread. You might find the answer in looking for an explanation as to why christians don't hold a monopoly on morality. Given their history on this earth.... far from.
