It went stock dividends.
Trickle down economics. Duh

I love stock dividends as a middle income American retired person. Pays for my extended vacations, guns, ammo, reloading supplies, fishing gear, new boats, etc.
Even used my stock dividends while working to pay for amenities and other items.

Guess how many people and businesses have seen an increase in their sales and profits from just one person? Multiply that times a large number of retired persons that like me that have decided its time to take that money we have invested in savings and retirement funds now want it back to spend?
Check the demographics of vacation, tourism related businesses, rental car, airlines, and the list goes on.

Dammed skippy trickle down works.

If the swing of income came your way, it's best not to talk about it.
If you're sitting there wondering what the fu!ck happened to the standard of life, just keep voting straight-ticket GOP without questioning anything.

The dims have controlled congress for many years now. How is the GOP at fault other than the top administration in the party being dim wanna be's?

That's what we are fighting for now, to get rid of that system.

"Wage increases cause the price of goods and services to increase!"

Why has the price of goods and services risen at a rate many times that of wage increases for several decades at a time when the GDP, measured productivity, and wealth of the richest Americans also rose steadily?

"Wage increases?"

What?

"Fast food."

Come again?

"Whoppers, tacos, etc."

Are you hungry or something?

"Unions."

Yeah?

"A socialist from 100 years ago talked like you be talkin'."

Alright...

"Freedom!"

Free trade?

We're talking about minimum wage. The GOP is clearly different from the Dems on the issue.

You heard the people...minimum wage workers are too lazy to obtain better jobs...it's their own dumb-a$$ fault/choice/etc.

I didn't correlate it to minimum wage because you said: "If the swing of income came your way, it's best not to talk about it.
If you're sitting there wondering what the fu!ck happened to the standard of life, just keep voting straight-ticket GOP without questioning anything".

That sounded like a general economic statement.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. lol Anyways... no point in arguing this from my standpoint. Oh well... go ahead and raise all the wages, raise the prices accordingly (and yes, there IS a direct correlation), and realize that your raises accomplished absolutely nothing in the longrun but diminishing the purchasing power of the dollar. Raising the minimum wage is just like giving out entitlements to buy votes. If it makes you feel warm and fuzzy because you think you're doing something for the downtrodden, well, I hope you enjoy it.

You are absolutely correct. Raise wages and raise prices of goods. Would you rather pay more for goods or more taxes to supplement the min wage earners?
