So same as the co workers vest yet his is ok?

I understand the issues you pointed out, but I think if parents want to better protect their kids this is a great idea.

Maybe you can be the voice to get it approved. Thanks for the insite and for taking your job seriously as an educator.
I never said it was a bad idea or should not be allowed. I was merely pointing out that the OP should ask. Schools have different rules about backpacks, is my point.

I'd think that if a district had an issue with a discreet soft panel inside a backpack the local press would make the establishment look like total asses real quick. I'd help make sure of it!

they are already gun free zone and have been for years. I am not sure how you think the local press would be behind you.

Don't project your crap on me. I never said anyone was the enemy.
I am not projecting, you are the one that said it would either be your way or you would make look like asses. I am just wondering why you would not use the system to improve the safety for everyone. It sort of makes you sound like a child throwing a temper tantrum, or at least like a democrat.

I don't think you come off half as well as it sounds in your own mind. It's a little closer to douchebaggery than mental sharpness.

They can be a weapon, contain a weapon, or be a hazard on the floor in an over crowded classroom.
I can't fathom how a backpack with a kevlar panel could be more a weapon than a backpack with a couple of hard back text books in it. The other two issues I give you, but the fear of all things "tactical" is getting just a bit rich.
