As of March 4, over 1,800 grower licenses have already been approved. Sounds like a saturated market to me.

I’d have to know more about the landscape of the market and figure out how much product it would take just to get my investment back.
And, bubba on the street corner selling the imported stuff will undercut your price. I've posted links recently from commifornika and Colorado when exactly that has cut the profits of the legal growers and reduced the expected tax revenues of the state drastically.

I think the ‘designers’ or engineers stand to be the ones whom may make bank. If you can come out with a strain that smells better, lasts longer, tastes like strawberries or whatever is going to be in demand.
That and the store front locations that are comfortable, clean and nice or just so something different. Those that are in rat holes or crappy storefronts probably won’t do as well, depending on the market.

My friend attended the growers convention at the fairgrounds last weekend. This is what everyone was telling him. The processors will take just about anything as they can extract at least a little THC or oils from almost all of the plant. They are short on product though.
They are selling it as fast as they can get it.

Yeah, I was interested in some real numbers or direct knowledge from a grower, know what I mean? That green expo at the fairgrounds was really a pay-to-attend sales pitch type event put in by the folks that supply all the growers, processors, and dispensaries. They benefit from everyone they can get into the market, initially. It’s in their best interest to paint a rosy picture right now.

In terms of gathering info prior to investing a ton of $$, its information but not necessarily unbiased info.
