Do what I do. Answer the call, and no matter what gender they are, ask them, in a really creepy way what they're wearing. They'll hang up and flag your number off the list.

I had this happen to me a couple years ago then about 2 weeks later I got a call from a pissed off mom and dad saying I was calling their daughter and hanging up. After a pretty verbal conversation with dad he called me back the next day and apologized saying he had been hacked and was told it was a scam where they call and hang up somehow stealing your number and using it

I’ve received six calls in the last four hours. All of the calls show MY name and number on the caller ID. How are they doing it? Computer generated phishing?
