It's not a matter of common sense. If it were common sense the majority of people, with no gun experience, would be able to pick up a gun and carry it proficiently. As a matter of fact, if it were just common sense, people would be able to perform any number of tasks that otherwise take certain knowledge and skills to perform. Obviously, that's not the case.
It's a matter of training and education.
Some pistols are just bull headed about stuff!I never carry with a round in the chamber, but the pistol I carry does so I just kind of go with it.
I do, actually. I even got paid to carry a gun...more than one, most of the time...for many, many years. Why should that bother you? I thought carrying a gun was just common sense.
I see that kind of response a lot from people that don't have a real argument. That's my cue to move on to a worthwhile discussion.
Just because it's you...
I'm curious why your question re: the merits of carrying a gun with an empty chamber didn't show up when I quoted that post. Doesn't matter. I never said there were any merits to carrying with an empty chamber. As a matter of fact, I said just the opposite.
Could be I'm not the one that needs work on comprehension skills.
I fall into the "why carry without a round in the chamber?" group, regardless of the gun. Doesn't make sense to me but maybe it does for some.
