I think it’s the Medicaid expansion, not Medicare.It looks like this is going to pass and I know the gist of the issue but is this not really a partisan thing?
It supposedly helps rural hospitals that can't stay in business but Stitt was against it and said the state can't afford it. The fed govt is supposed to pay for 95% of the cost.
I've found that Oklahomans tend to vote across party lines when it comes to more social issues within the state, while they tend to stick with party lines for national issues.
It's socialism, just like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc...
I wouldn't say Social Security or Medicare is Socialism; you have to work; to put into it over the course of your employed years in order to be eligible for either of these. If one chooses NOT to work, but to instead sit on the curb and panhandle, then that person will not be eligible for these.
