Called “old man” a lot. It’s kind of disappointing that’s the best insult they can think up.

I had an old guy come up to me in the parking lot of Homeland grocery and said.
I hate seeing younger people driving cars older than they are.
I was driving my 57 chevy.
I told him it was just a little older than I am and I have much older vehicles.
He was kind of a$$y about it so I popped off and said I hate seeing older guys that can afford to drive an older American car get out of a foreign car.
He smiled and I cant remember what he said but it was not a jab but something like well played.

"Old man" doesn't bother me at all. It's usually said when someone's just playing around. I just quip back with "Ya dad-blamed whippersnappers always being hateful to us geezers" or something like that. I'm not even that old, but I get a kick out of the play.
As I get older, I have a hard time getting used to things like people opening doors for me. Age is all in your head. When I get in my hopped-up little car, I'm 18 again. I was just thinking the other day I would like to get another dirt bike.
They call me "grandpa" at work.....
I reckon I don't look friendly enough to speak to. If I don't speak to someone first, most folks avoid eye contact with me. Maybe I'm just ugly.

When I'm at the market with my cart and I turn a corner I usually run into someone that is not paying attention to their cart or they are blocking the aisle. To diffuse the situation I say, sorry about that, I drive like that too.
The sweetest words I could ever hear is when my grandsons call me pawpaw.
